What is the Togetherness Understanding Trauma Advanced Training?
Togetherness Understanding Trauma Advanced Training is all about supporting emotional health and wellbeing with a focus on what trauma is and how attachment and brain development are impacted.
The Solihull Approach model was founded in practice and all of our training is evidence-based, developed by psychologists, child psychotherapists, and practitioners. It is a way of thinking and working with families, groups or one-to-one that transcends professions and communities.
The Solihull Approach model is also about understanding brain development to understand behaviour, communication and emotional health.
What difference will it make?
Togetherness Understanding Trauma Advanced Training is designed to consolidate practitioners' learning from the 2 Day Foundation training but will provide the best value as part of a theory-into-practice strategy that includes work discussion time, the Refresher Day and the seminars on brain development, attachment and trauma.
Togetherness and our network of trained practitioners are passionate about early intervention and responsive relationships supporting mental health and wellbeing. The Solihull Approach model has a significant evidence base both quantitative and qualitative showing the improvements in the parent-child relationship, child prosocial behaviour, behaviour difficulties, parental anxiety and stress, and practitioner satisfaction.

How is it delivered?
Togetherness Understanding Trauma Advanced Training is designed for any Togetherness trained practitioner working with babies, young children and school-aged children, young people and their families to support the use of the Solihull Approach model from any agency.
‘Open training’ is delivered throughout the year for individual bookings to a cohort of up to 40 delegates
‘Closed’ training is bespoke delivered for teams of staff of up to 40 individuals within an organisation with a relevant resource pack.

Delegates will require a Supporting Information Booklet (Understanding Trauma version) which includes a summary of key information from all the sessions, as a reminder, and reflective questions to support the processing and integration of the information.
