Four Work Discussion Sessions

The programme of ‘Discussion Sessions’ is available to help support theory into practice. They have been designed to help practitioners to apply their knowledge from recent foundation training to personal practice in order to fully realise and understand the impact.

Each work discussion session is approximately two hours’ long, at three to four weekly intervals and is led by an experienced trainer to encourage reflection as well as supporting greater understanding of the Solihull Approach model in practice.

What difference will it make?

The Work Discussion sessions build on our Foundation Training by providing practitioners with a forum to reflect on the model over an extended period of time and discuss its application in their workplace with peers.

Delivery

The Four Work Discussion Sessions is designed for any practitioner working with babies, young children and school-aged children, young people and their families following on from the Foundation training.

‘Open training’ is delivered throughout the year for individual bookings to a cohort of 12 delegates.

‘Closed’ training is bespoke delivered for teams of staff of between 6-12 individuals within an organisation with a relevant resource pack.
